Size questions
Your size questions, answered
What size storage unit do I need?
It depends on what you are storing. As a rule of thumb: a 5×10 holds a studio’s worth of furniture, a 10×10 fits a one-bedroom apartment, and a 10×20 takes a full three-bedroom house. Use the calculator above, or call and an owner will size it with you.
What is the most popular unit size?
The 10×10 is our most-rented unit: enough room for a one-bedroom apartment or a few rooms of furniture, without paying for space you will not use. The 5×10 is the favorite for students and smaller moves.
Can I switch to a different size later?
Yes. If your unit turns out too big or too small, let us know and we will move you to the right fit, subject to availability. No long-term lock-in.
Are all sizes climate-controlled?
We offer both climate-controlled and drive-up units across most sizes. Climate control is worth it for electronics, wood furniture, documents, and anything sensitive to Kansas heat and humidity. Ask which sizes are available at each location.
