How move-out works

Give us a heads-up
Let us know your move-out date, ideally about 14 days ahead, by phone, text, or the contact form so we can close your account and stop billing.

Empty and sweep
Clear everything out and give the unit a quick sweep so it is ready for the next tenant.

Take your lock and go
Remove your lock, do a final walk-through, and you are done. Your gate code is deactivated after move-out.

- Line up help or a moving truck
- Grab boxes and tape for anything you are keeping
- Plan how you will haul away any trash
The day you leave
- Empty the unit completely
- Sweep it out
- Remove your lock and take it with you
- Do a final walk-through for anything left behind
- Text or call us to confirm you are out

How much notice do you need?
We ask for about 14 days’ notice before your move-out date so we can close your account and stop billing. A quick call, text, or note through the form is enough.
Do I get money back if I leave mid-month?
Rent is not prorated for a partial month, so it is best to plan your move-out around your billing date. Questions on your final bill? Reach out and we will walk you through it.
What if I leave something behind?
Take everything with you, including your lock. Anything left in the unit may be disposed of, so do a final walk-through before you go.
Can I switch units instead of leaving?
Absolutely. If you need a bigger or smaller unit, tell us and we will move you to the right size instead, subject to availability.
